I’m a teacher

The Proximus Edu Pack 1 challenge takes your students on a tour of the basic concepts of the network world.

What is the difference between copper and fibre? How do you crimp a cable? What are the basics of IP addressing? How to set up a basic VPN?

The basics of the challenge

Your students, in teams of two, are the « technicians » of Connect City: a very contemporary city with its share of connectivity challenges. With their smartphones, they will get in touch with the advisor character: a virtual character who will interact with them in the form of a messaging application. The advisor will have many real-life challenges to solve in this world!

Immersed in the use of familiar Proximus equipment: Bbox, Wifi Booster, cables, they will have to use their skills… and learn new ones! Fortunately, the advisor has thought about everything and can refer the students to the HQ, a web platform that is full of quick-to-learn content: summaries, videos, etc.

At the end of each mission, the students will receive a code to be encoded in the advisor’s email to unlock the next level. Who knows? A nice surprise may await them at the end of the adventure!

Teacher's lessons

Warning: Connect City aims to raise awareness of the basic concepts of the network. As such, the team has deliberately diverted the material used from its original purpose for play purposes. Teachers are invited to debrief their students on the comparison with reality. You will find notes in the help section of the missions to help you make these connections.
